Everything going to hell in a handbag here. If you let your pigs onto an area, then the chooks, there won't be a damn bug left anywhere. Might just be time to get a crop of salad potatoes and definitely anything like beet that's fast growing - shift your piggies and chooks over a bit and plant where they currently live if you've got the time/energy you'll get a good crop in yet xxxAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12771939285350469771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9100078839811434791.post-10560371608929347922013-06-28T22:48:02.619+02:002013-06-28T22:48:02.619+02:00Cheers.It's nice to have some support. We've just discovered the extent of our wireworm problem. Many would give up. I'm going to war! Marigolds, potatoes on sticks and chicken tractors here we come! One has to remember the long term as well. Bad harvest this year but it'll all go to the chucks and fingers crossed for next year.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13664847247118915871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9100078839811434791.post-49964600037069181372013-06-28T21:58:04.683+02:002013-06-28T21:58:04.683+02:00Excellent blog post and you are right, we have bec...Excellent blog post and you are right, we have become detached from our food, and that way leads complacency. We have been duped into eating inferior meat, tainted meat, meat that is not what it appears (many processed meats fall into this bracket, you think you're eating a chicken burger but you're eating pork, turkey and chicken, and alot of additives and chemicals). Your post highlights how even a simple step like this can improve your life and the life of your livestock.Life on Pig Rowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01307497221177763889noreply@blogger.com
